What People's Say About Place

A friend took me there while on Holiday.. Her and her husband pick up their gourmet meals every week and love them! Miss Daisy’s is like family!!

Loved the selection of take out stuffs. Chicken salad, bean & corn, broccoli salad ! i bought Banana Puddings for clients - big hit. Well, the “skinny” pumpkin chocolate chip tasted sinful. I’ll be going back. Miss Daisy, give us more healthy veggie options - maybe a grain salad !!! Loved it

This place is ideal if you want homemade dishes to take out and piece a southern style meal together at your house! The staff here is so accommodating and there's really nothing about this place that could be considered anything other than exceptional. Buy a Miss Daisy's cookbook while you're there too! Please note, this is not a restaurant, rather a small establishment that makes their own food that you can purchase to takeout.

I made a bereavement food basket and it was perfect. Randi made it so easy to come in and select items from breakfast quiches, cinnamon rolls, pimento cheese, chicken salad, pasta salad and several chicken casseroles. The 5x7 pans made it easy to feed a few at a time or more and the variety was perfect. I added fresh fruit, a couple bottles of wine and it was nice. The receiver said the food was delicious and easy to make. I will be back.

My daughter and I made our first visit at the new location. We got her delicious pecan chicken salad sandwich, zucchini muffin and took a menu home. She stepped into the room greeted everyone like we were family. She is such a warm, beautiful lady. After checking her menu, she will probably be seeing a lot of the two of us.

While visiting Miss Daisy’s this week, I dropped by to pick up a couple of side items and a salad. I did pick up an extra muffin as a treat. I did ask the girl for a receipt and when she handed it to me, there was nothing on either side that was printed. So, I asked for another copy. When I got it, there was nothing on either side of the second receipt! I wrote the total amount down on the blank receipt and went on my way. Once I got home, I took a look at the muffin and noticed a dollar increase to six dollars for one muffin! Did this 20% INCREASE just occur for the busy holidays because on October 31 it was $5? OR Wow, was this an extra dollar just for ingredient inflation? The label on the baked muffins says Anne’s Cakes of Nashville. I realize these are muffins bought ahead of time in bulk and frozen. I may have to skip Miss Daisy’s food inflation for a while or pray things go down to a more reasonable price in the future! How about second day half-off muffins? Now that’s an idea!

Stopped by Friday, Sept 26th, and bought several things to take home & bake; spinach-bacon quiche, cheesy chicken casserole, and 2 ready to eat pies (pecan pie, and chocolate pie). The next day, the quiche was baked and delicious as always. I've always been a huge fan of Miss Daisy's cooking and loved the Take Home & Bake concept of Miss Daisy's Kitchen, her last venture. I have the dessert gene, so I may be biased in that I love her cake & pies too. I'm so glad that Miss Daisy's Kitchen has been able to continue Miss Daisy King's fine tradition of delicious cooking after her passing.

Found Miss Daisy's recently. I'm staying in an extended stay hotel that does not have full cooking facilities and really missing home cooked food. Miss Daisy's concept of cooking on site with good quality ingredients and no preservatives and then refrigerating to go dishes for reheating is awesome. I love that there were smaller and larger portion sizes. The larger portions are enough for 2 or 3 servings for 1 person or an entree for 2 people. Pricewise it's about the same as getting food from the average restaurant, but the quality is much better and you get more servings. I ended up buying a childhood favorite dish that I haven't seen on a menu in quite a while. I look forward to going back and trying more entrees and desserts. The staff is very helpful and able to answer any ingredient questions.
